About the Event
The exciting sound of some of Devon’s most accomplished young orchestral musicians will fill Exeter Cathedral.
Postponed from March 2020 this is a welcome return by the two Devon Youth Orchestras and showcases musicians from all parts of Devon between the ages of 10 and 18 years old.
The programme is particularly chosen to appeal across the age range and includes music from film scores and orchestral classics performed by both the Concert Orchestra and the Symphony Orchestra under the baton of conductors Paul Painter and Mel Orriss. Also being performed is a new orchestration of the Concertino for Trombone and Orchestra written by Paul Painter and featuring solo trombonist Dylan Brewer.
The guest spot will feature the newly formed Devon Youth Choir led by Anthony Chamberlain and Elfyn Jones.
